Sir Clive Sinclair on iPM

July 1st, 2008 by Russell Davies

iPM is one of the great Radio 4 experiments with doing things more digitally. This weekend they’re broadcasting an interview with Sir Clive Sinclair, but they’ve stuck the original, largely unedited version on their blog already. It’s a fascinating chat about “the internet, the future of electric vehicles, flying cars, and the development of the computer.” And now thanks to the miracle of AudioHijack, there’s an MP3 here.

There’s a terrific NPR news daily called The Bryant Park Project from NYC. It uses many of the same methods: the ‘open running order’ for instance. What it doesn’t have, though, is Eddie Mair. Eddie Mair’s the lynchpin.
