This is perhaps the best programme name ever - it's about the arrival of the miniskirt in the 60's and the influence of the 1959 House of Dior collection. Very good, straight-forward, entertaining popular history. (MP3 here.)
Here's something from the hard drive; a splendid 30 minutes from 2003. Julian Putkowski tells us all about Mosely and his black shirts, Garibaldi and his red ones, and more benignly, eccentrically and Britishly John Hargrave and his green ones. (Plus other shirts in other colours.) A great programme, which has fun with the form, entertains and informs and tells us why anarchists don't have collars on their shirts. MP3 here. There don't seem to be any traces of the programme on anything owned by the BBC, but there's at least some information from the production company here.

It's maintained (intermittently, it has to be said) by a scattered band of listeners most of whom live in Britain, which explains the preponderance of programmes from Radio 4, the nation's number 1 speech network.
We record or link to programmes and wrap the whole lot up in a podcast, which is probably the best way to absorb this stuff.
Of course, one day this might turn into something else, maybe a new way of curating speech radio. Or maybe it won’t.
