Scientific American’s Science Talk is one of my favourite podcasts. I like friendly and knowledgeable presenter Steve Mirsky. Here’s an episode from a couple of weeks ago in which Mirsky and some journalists from IEEE Spectrum rubbish the geek dream of ‘the singularity‘, which is something I approve of. iPM is one of the great Radio 4 experiments with doing things more digitally. This weekend they’re broadcasting an interview with Sir Clive Sinclair, but they’ve stuck the original, largely unedited version on their blog already. It’s a fascinating chat about “the internet, the future of electric vehicles, flying cars, and the development of the computer.” And now thanks to the miracle of AudioHijack, there’s an MP3 here.
