We're posting a lot of Radio 3 at the moment aren't we? Well, how could we resist this? Extraordinarily atmospheric radio; evoking the vanishing towns of the American South West with music, stories and just plain sound. MP3 here.

I love how this is starting to work. Matt Jones emailed us at the weekend about an excellent episode of Excess Baggage about maps. Which we stuck up. Which led Garret Keogh to alert us to this fantastic episode of This American Life, also about maps. If you don't know This American Life it's a podcast that's well worth subscribing too. Easily the best radio programme in the US, possibly in the world. Thanks to everyone for the suggestions.

It's maintained (intermittently, it has to be said) by a scattered band of listeners most of whom live in Britain, which explains the preponderance of programmes from Radio 4, the nation's number 1 speech network.
We record or link to programmes and wrap the whole lot up in a podcast, which is probably the best way to absorb this stuff.
Of course, one day this might turn into something else, maybe a new way of curating speech radio. Or maybe it won’t.
